The Challenge aka Don’t Try This at Home

 


Sunday, I decide, I’m going to push myself. 

Challenge myself.

See, the thing is, if I don’t make things harder, I, will never get better, stronger. My times will not improve. 

If I challenge myself now, when it comes to a real race, it will seem easy. 

A 5 km race is tough enough for someone who is still trying to loose weight. To throw on a 20 pound weighted vest, ummm, painful. 

The first two km not too hard, but, I had to really start to push myself. I turned up the music. Clapped along to the beat. Throwing my hands up in the air I cheered. I growled. I was a beast. It felt great! 

5km done. I cheered. 

My shirt was soaked. 

I earned a nap. 

Eager to do it all over again.
