Oh No I’m Gaining Weight

 


Yes, I’m gaining weight. 

During my fat loss phase, I lost eighteen pounds.

Now, during the Hypertrophy phase, I’m up seven pounds. 

Looking at the trends, muscle mass during the fat loss phase dropped 10 pounds. Ouch

Now I’m up five pounds in muscle mass. 

So, up seven pounds, but, five of it is muscle mass.

The hardest part of going into the hypertrophy phase was the calorie increase. Calories prior were between 1500-1700. Now I’m into 2,500 calories per day, and, I will be increasing it to 3,300 per day. 

I’ve increased my protein intake considerably. Increased carbohydrates. 

Before workouts, I, started using a pre-workout drink. During workouts, an, essential amino acid mix, and, then, another mixer cup with water, and, dextrose. 

The muscle hypertrophy phase is for three months. I’m in the second month already, and, I am using an ISO hold method during resistance training, with both weights, and, bands.  

Progress.
