Weight Loss and Stress

One of the factors that affects fat loss is Stress and it’s friend Cortisol.

Chronic stress can lead to:
  • High blood sugar or low blood sugar
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Insulin resistance
  • Food cravings
  • Reduced libido
  • Bone loss
  • Suppressed immunity
This affects your hormone Cortisol which therefore will activate a process called Gluconeogenensis. Basically a fancy name for a tiny devil breaking down tissues like muscle and fat stores and converts them into sugar.

One of the greatest ways to reduce stress, is, relaxation, meditation, going for walks, baths, painting, drawing.

You can still loose weight when your under stress, but, your body will respond more to the weight loss if you loose that stress first.
