Due to the Pandemic, my son has been home schooled for a year now. We are happy that he is safe. The level of education is very good. He is happy. The school is only for half the day, with the other half of the day used for school work.
Only thing is ...... his exercise has gone downhill. He is gaining weight. Gone are the days of running around playing tag every morning with his classmates. (Not that he would be allowed to do that if he was attending his regular school). No more gym class.
So, what do parents have as options?
I found some YouTube videos that look entertaining:
Dinosaur exercise for kids:
Level up Video Game Workout for kids
And my Karate Cardio Workout
You have to also remember, kids copy parents. If they see the parents are always laying around, they will do the same. If you tell your kids, ok, let’s all go for a walk, they will see it’s important to you, and should be important for them as well.
Play a game of tag with them. Toss the frisbee around. Do things with them they enjoyed before the pandemic. Don’t let them get used to a lazy, low activity, lifestyle.
Get active, get moving, get healthy.
