It’s January. A new year. Every retailer will have fitness gear up front.
Number one resolution is to loose weight.
But how many people know what to do?
Picking up a pair of dumbbells isn’t going to magically loose the weight.
Swing them once a week? Wow. Ok.
Your resolution is too weak, just like your willpower.
Your resolution should be more like, I want to loose 20 pounds in the next 6 months by reducing my calorie intake, exercising 3 - 4 times a week, and eating healthier choices.
Set a specific goal and date. July 1st. Summer time. I will know if I’m on track if I’m loosing X amount of pounds per week, and per month.
I will use my mirror more then my weight scale to judge my weightloss. I will weigh myself only once a week, or every two weeks.
I don’t know how many calories I’m eating on a daily basis, so I will use an app to track each meal.
I will mark on my calendar the day’s I will workout. I will work out consistently every week, unless I’m sick. My health is important to me, so I will make this as a non negotionable.
I know I eat out too much, and when I buy groceries, it’s usually frozen dinners, or prepared meals, so from now on, I will only shop the perimeter of the store, learn some basic recipes, and prepare dishes that are balanced with lots of vegetables, fruit, protein, fiber, whole grained, and barely processed.
If you don’t set a detailed plan in motion you will not stick to it.
Commit to change.
Every, extra, step you take brings you closer to a healthier you.
Get healthy.
